  I do not typically write reviews but was very unsatisfied with what I feel was a bad billing experience with this doctor's office. I went in for a simple cosmetic mole removal (no insurance was to be billed and it was all charged to a personal credit card). All was fine until about 3 months after the procedure when I received a bill from a pathology office stating I owed nearly $200 additional because Dr. Lapatka took it upon his own discretion to send it off for review without letting me know he was going to do it and also without letting me know there would be an additional charge. Just another classic example of doctor's and labs over billing for unnecessary procedures. I will tell all people I come across to not use him and to make sure that whoever they do use they ask plenty of questions to ensure they too don't get taken for a medical bill ride.
